A Clockwork Orange: The Times Film Review

This review of the Stanley Kubrick film A Clockwork Orange, based on the 1962 novel by Anthony Burgess, appeared in The Times on January 11, 1972. It is the dark, ironic tale of an ultra-violent future and one of the most controversial films of all time. Kubrick withdrew the film in 1973 and it was not seen in Britain again until it was re-released in March 2000, a year after his death.
