1. assent indicator: used, especially in speech, to indicate assent, agreement, or affirmation
'Do you like ice cream?' 'Yes, I do'.

2. indicates contradiction: used to indicate contradiction in response to a negative proposition
'He won't believe you'. 'Oh yes he will'.
